Oct 18, 2001 - A new resident named Calisto was retired at the horse sanctuary after a severe foot injury that resulted in a bowed tendon and contraction. | |

Aug 13, 2001 - The Home Shopping Network gave a generous donation of paying for 13 employees to work at the Horse Sanctuary for an entire day and they also supplied lunch. Many needed tasks were completed, including: repairing gates, cleaning water buckets, cleaning stalls, moving rocks, grooming horses, repairing broken fence boards, trimming grass, etc. We REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!! | |

July, 2001 - Samson passed away due to salmonella. He was the first horse at the sanctuary. He was rescued from a horse slaughter truck where he was headed for a dog food factory. He was previously a barrel racing horse. He will be dearly missed!!!! | |

Feb, 2001 - Dream Catcher Farm Horse Sanctuary finally receives its official IRS Tax Exempt or Non-Profit Status which has been back dated to include all of year 2000. | |
